Exhibition of artist Pavel Doskočil entitled Pure will start on Friday the 11th February at 19 hours in the Gallery Luxfer. Doskočil´s work is formally somewhere between sculpture and painting. "Sculptures, objects and installations are being the main means of expression. The visual component is often only as a theme. "explains the artist's work Ludek Rathouský, curator of the Gallery Luxfer. In his oppinion Doskočil´s formation is characterized by gentle playfulness and irony with which he sees as viewing scenery and rural life. "It's disarming, without sentimentality and excessive decorations. For the gallery Luxfer he prepared new project called Pure and it is expected that it will be another exceptional exhibition in this space, "said curator. Pavel Doskočil (1968) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague under prof. Karel Nepraš and prof. Milan Knížák. After graduation he went to Hradec Králové, where since 1996 has became a lecturer for teaching drawing and modeling at the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Hradec Králové. He currently lives in the village Vršce near Kopidlno. The only way for young artist to survive his artistic death in the countryside, is working as a curator at the regional gallery. Pavel Doskočil performed at a high level of active curatorial work in the gallery underpass in Hradec Králové. Out of this activity is increasingly devoted to his independent work, which is formally somewhere between sculpture and painting. Sculptures, objects and installations are being the main means of expression and visual elements is often only as a theme.
Pavel Doskočil is preparing new project called Pure just for gallery Luxfer and it is expected that it will be another outstanding exhibition.
